The Department of Defense has identified 3,813 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

MUNN, Donald L. II, 25, Staff Sgt., Army; St. Clair Shores, Mich.; First Cavalry Division.

THACKER, Nathan Z., 18, Private; Army, Greenbrier, Ark.; 10th Mountain Division.
